On A Journey to Eden

Our home for a ball of apple we sold
And we could see but nakedness.
Blind we were but never enough not to recall what could happen;
Life to its fullest we suckled,
But out of the abundance of possessions nature revolted.
The serpent under our dominion
Tuned us to partake of the communion;
Alas, we weren't devoted!
Serving our sight sentence
We learned to cover and keep off sight the pubic,
And bear the shame in public.
We're on a journey to Eden!

Things under our command have us on remand,
At the dawning of a new era, ill-health take us on hike;
We struggle for food to eat and water to drink.
The mandate to multiply, fill and subdue the earth,
Now we beg to harness,
And barrenness gives no link.
The tempest weather have us rolled in wool like 'utakpa' tree,
Head and toes, our body buried right behind cotton.
And now far from Eden we're better at keeping in hiding the cedar of lebanon.
We're on a journey to Eden!

Lo, We move in circles!
Cause in effort to make the earth a better home we stray to Eden,
And sip revolution without a lip of evolution.
Wow, the apple that intoxicated us wears by the days;
As we regain blindness
The streets are light up in half-nakedness,
Even the maidens make show the deep treasures for selfish gains,
And bumpy bums strip in the streets for better ventilation.
Oh, every night, on my bed, I pray heaven
To envelope us in blindness and not darkness!
But where's our destination, Eden or Sodom?
